GÉRALDINE GUARDIA
Producer
Géraldine is a Chilean-French filmmaker, scriptwriter, producer and cultural manager.
Graduated student in Communication studies in Paris and earned a Master in Arts and Politics at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
After studying Audiovisual Communication at Valencia University, and Video Production in
Brighton, she worked as a producer in different Film Festivals in Chile: International
Documentary Film festival (Fidocs), International Documentary Film Festival Antofagasta
(Antofadocs), and Digital Film Festival Vina del Mar.
She collaborated as a script supervisor
in different feature films among others “Nucingen Haus” directed by Raul Ruiz Film.
She was part of the board of directors of the Short Films Association of Chile where she promoted and organized screenings of Chilean short movies around the world.
She was the director of the Short-short contest for the Shanghai Expo 2010 organized by Chile Foundation.
As director the short movie “Hidden Murmurs” was selected in different film festival as the
renowned International Moscow Film Festival and IndieLisboa Film Festival (2009).
She won the award for Best Experimental Short Movie at the Swiss International Feminile Short Film Festival for the film “Black waves'' (2012) in Super 8mm. Granted for Carolina Foundation in collaboration with Ibermedia programme for her feature film project “Piel de corteza” (Bark Skin) to attend the writing lab. Her screenplay was selected as well
in Panama Film Lab.
She works currently as a strategic communication assistant at NYU
and as a cultural manager in the french association Miami Accueil. She collaborates as a Producer at Portrait d’atmosphere.
